team EJP Stormwater and Erosion Control Specialists discussed solutions and the perks of using Hydrotex Articulating Block and Tenax 3D Triplanar Geogrids at the 108th Purdue Road School Transportation Conference & Expo.
In the spring of 2020, EJP's Team PPF partnered with environmental consulting firm Woodard & Curran to produce a solution for a complex set of problems with a wastewater treatment system at a shopping center in Hingham, Massachusetts. The system serves The Derby Street Shops, owned by a private retail space company with similar properties all over the United States.
As the seasons change, one thing remains the same – the importance of fire hydrant safety and maintenance.
If a water pipe breaks today anywhere in Team EJP’s nine state service area, immediate help is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Today the company employees a staff of full-time service technicians, and all operate dedicated service trucks equipped with the tools and supplies to deal with a wide variety of service needs.
A simple idea that came to fruition less than 50 years ago has literally changed the landscape in high flow erosion control applications. In the early 1970’s the industry’s first turf reinforced mats were introduced. Fast forwarding to the year 2020, this product group has added and important set of tools to the stormwater management portfolio.
Since the 1950’s, Team EJP has provided end users and water utilities with the most up to date tools for measuring and recording water use. Water is our most critical natural resource, and it requires careful management and protection.
As a seasoned contractor once told a less experienced assistant, “There are only three things I worry about when evaluating a new jobsite. Those three things are drainage, drainage and drainage!” There is a lot of wisdom in those words. A solid drainage plan is essential whenever any land disturbing activities take place.
Water is the unifying link to all the work put forth at Team EJP, going all the way back to our first year in business in 1955. The company’s products and services are closely linked with markets for drinking water, wastewater and stormwater. Team EJP’s efforts extend also into groundwater protection and the interaction of water with our lakeshores, river banks and coastal properties.
With geotextile fabrics being used so commonly on today’s active jobsites, it is hard to believe that this technology did not even exist just eight decades ago. This technology is commonly used to separate soil layers, and has turned into a multi-billion dollar industry.
One of our most challenging projects in recent history involved a historic mill in North Scituate, Massachusetts. The mill was built in 1691-92 by Abraham Lincoln’s great-great-great-grandfather, Mordecai Lincoln.
