Erosion and Sediment Expertise
How would you like to learn about soil stewardship in extreme conditions from an international expert? Michael V. Harding is an environmental scientist who is considered to be among the world's top technical experts in erosion and sediment control. Mr. Harding served three times as President of the International Erosion Control Association, he's had direct involvement in over 50 emergency response plans for post-fire hazard assessment. He's given legal support and expert witness testimony for a range of domestic and international cases involving soil erosion, sedimentation and reclamation. His presentation focuses on successful soil stewardship under extreme conditions.
Stormwater Management
When it comes to stormwater compliance, nobody knows more than Mark S. Goldsmith, Wal-mart's Senior Director of Realty Environmental Compliance for over 11 years. His overall responsibility covers the company's compliance efforts at thousands of locations worldwide. This is on top of over 30 years of industry experience and service as a member of the Board of Directors for Envirocert, a leading international industry certification program and organization. His program looks at stormwater compliance from the standpoint of an international commercial developer.
Sustainable Water Technology
Author of the book, How to Solve The World's Water Problems, One Drop at a Time, Terry J. McMains is a leading national resource for sustainable water technologies, having completed over 700 projects in a range of developments. He's served as a consultant to leading global water sustainability manufacturers. He's also the founder of Operation: Safe Water, a non-profit that focuses on developing and implementing sustainable water technologies and products for developing countries, delivering water to those most in need.

Urban Rainwater Retention
Winner of the international award Goldman Environmental Prize, Dr. Michal Kravcik is a hydrologist from Slovakia who operates teaching centers on the impact of past stormwater practices and on the importance of reversing the negative impacts of those practices. He contends that the world's treatment of stormwater as waste water will require much work to repair the damage. He will discuss at length how urban rainwater retention through improved green infrastructure can help play an important role in restoring our climate's equilibrium.
